Slate can also be used for patios and walkways. It also makes for really great décor statement pieces. Below are the ways you can utilize your leftover slate during the holidays!
1. Create a Charcuterie Board
Slate is becoming a popular way to serve your platters. It has a sleek look and can even be written on, so your cheeses or meats are labeled. Black slate provides a beautiful contrast to meats and cheeses and will leave your guests in awe. To ensure your stone does not ruin any of your tables, you can simply attach bumpers or felt to the bottom of the board. Slate can also be used as a serving tray as well!

2. Holiday Decorations
Slate can be easily painted on which makes it the perfect material for holiday decorations! You can use it on your front porch as a welcome sign, or even on a mantel with fun snowman painted on. It can be easily hung by attaching a picture frame wire!
